Awards & Recognition
The Costeira Plain Band carries the collection's kite shapes in polished metal alone. A continuous run of angular kites circles the finger, and each facet catches the light the way the cliff strata of the Portuguese Atlantic coast catch the low evening sun. No stones, just form.
Costeira is the Portuguese word for coastal. Andrew Geoghegan drew the collection from the coastline near his home, where strong Atlantic winds have shaped the rock into sharp, layered edges. The plain band works on its own as a wedding ring, or stacked beside the Costeira Diamond Band, whose kites each hold a pair of diamonds.
