ABOUT ANDREW

Andrew Geoghegan has been designing jewellery since 1998. Not selecting it, sourcing it or curating it. Designing it.

His ideas often begin where you least expect them. Astronomy. Architectural geometry. A roaring fire in a remote French chalet. Even an Anglo-Saxon gold discovery made while metal detecting with his son Arthur. What matters is what those ideas become.

Alongside the ideas sits an enduring fascination with craftsmanship. Andrew's obsession with the art of gem-setting and precision has shaped every collection he has created for more than twenty-five years.

The result is a body of work that has earned the British Jewellers' Association Designer of the Year Award, Professional Jeweller Collections of the Year - winner three years running, and a place in Liberty London. Andrew's unique engagement rings and fine jewellery are worn and collected by clients seeking pieces with a distinct point of view.

Each ring is hand-set under a microscope and finished by hand in the UK. Questions about a ring go straight to Andrew, and he answers them himself.

The Asteria Tsavorite Halo Ring brings a rich green tsavorite to the centre, circled by tsavorites that grow gradually paler, each hand-set in its own lozenge-shaped frame. Polished triangles of precious metal radiate outwards like a sunburst, giving the green real depth and sparkle.

SPECIFICATION:

Made in your choice of 18ct gold or platinum, the Asteria Tsavorite Halo Ring is hand-finished and hand-set to our exacting standards. At its centre is a 4.8mm round tsavorite, approximately 0.45ct, and 0.23ct of gradually paler tsavorites are micro-set into the surrounding lozenges, creating the halo.

COLLECTION OPTIONS:

The Asteria is available in 18ct rose gold, 18ct yellow gold or platinum. Gemstone versions include white diamonds, blue sapphires, and a combination of rubies and pink sapphires. Commissions with larger centre stones are available: please enquire for prices.

The side profile deserves just as much consideration as the top view. Asteria was designed as a complete object rather than a ring that only looks good in photographs.
What inspired the design of Asteria? +
Asteria takes its name from the Greek goddess of falling stars. The ring was designed during a particularly memorable chapter in Andrew's life, when he, Lindsay, Arthur and their two Vizslas, Rupert and Izzy, were living in a caravan while their family home was being built. The experience created challenges but also space for reflection and creativity. Asteria became a celebration of light, optimism and the idea that beautiful things can emerge from difficult circumstances.

Does Asteria sit flush with a wedding ring? +
Asteria does not usually sit flush with a straight wedding ring. Some clients enjoy the small gap this creates. Others choose one of our shaped Asteria wedding rings, designed to follow the contours of the setting more closely.
Can Asteria be resized after purchase? +
Yes. Asteria includes one free resize, up to two sizes larger or smaller, requested within a month of delivery. You cover postage to us and we cover the return. Larger changes are usually possible too, and we will quote you first. Contact us if you would like help measuring before you order.
How long does Asteria take to make? +
Each Asteria ring is handmade to order in the UK and typically takes four to six weeks to complete. Production times can vary slightly depending on gemstone availability and any design modifications.
Can I view an Asteria Tsavorite ring in person? +
Please get in touch and we will do our best to arrange a viewing. We can also provide additional photographs, videos and CAD renders for clients selecting their ring remotely.
