Colour with heart

Diamonds are not the only answer.

Cannelé has always had room for colour. Cannelé Couleur brings together eight gemstone centres, each framed through contrast, close tone or diamond light.

Eight colour studies

Find the colour that feels like yours.

Every edition is made to order with a 4.5mm or 5mm centre stone, with the approved halo choices and precious metals shown on its own product page.

Eight independent Cannelé Couleur rings, each with a coloured centre and a small number of deliberate expressions through halo and precious metal choices.

Composed colour

One centre stone. Three ways to make it personal.

The same Cannelé form, transformed through contrast, close tone or diamond light.

Made to be worn

Colour lives differently on the hand.

The soft rounded shank, the taper of the flutings and the changeable light of a coloured centre and halo: these are all integral parts of the Cannelé expression in everyday life.

Every ring is made to order in platinum or 18ct gold. Its centre stone and halo are cut specifically for the ring, so please allow 4 to 6 weeks for completion.

Hand-painted A5 artwork of a Cannelé Couleur ring
A gift for the first eight

Your Cannelé, painted by hand.

The first eight clients to order Cannelé Couleur will receive a hand-painted A5 artwork of their individual ring, created especially for them.

A lasting record of its colour, halo and sculptural fluting, made to keep long after the ring takes its place on the hand.

The whole Cannelé

There is more to it than just a halo.

Turn the ring and its hidden character appears: sculptural flutings sweeping beneath the setting to a single point.

The point of convergence is one of the most important elements of the Cannelé.

Original Cannelé design sketches from the Dordogne
The beginning

Cannelé’s birthplace was the Dordogne.

Cannelé began over a quiet Christmas in south-west France. With no pressure to produce anything, Andrew opened a sketchbook and began playing with the geometry of a halo.

The intention was never to make a centre stone look bigger. It was to find finesse and give the hidden side of the ring as much thought as its face.

Questions answered

Colour, considered.

The collection page carries the individual colour options, specifications and ordering details.

What is Cannelé Couleur?

Cannelé Couleur is Andrew Geoghegan's collection of coloured gemstone halo rings based on the original fluted Cannelé setting.

Which centre stones are in Cannelé Couleur?

Amethyst, Spessartite Garnet, Rich Blue Sapphire, Medium Blue Sapphire, Tsavorite, Rubellite, Pink Sapphire and Chocolate Coloured Diamond.

How do I choose a halo?

Begin with the centre stone that feels right. Diamonds keep it crisp, a tonal halo creates a quieter echo and a contrasting halo brings more energy.

Why are the halo combinations fixed?

Andrew selected each relationship for the way its colours, proportions and setting work together, keeping every ring composed as a complete design.

Can it be worn as an engagement ring?

Yes. Cannelé has long been chosen as an engagement ring. Cannelé Couleur is equally suited to an engagement, a milestone or simply a colour you want to live with.

Has Cannelé always been available with colour?

Yes. Cannelé has been made with coloured centres for many years. Cannelé Couleur gives that long-standing possibility its own focused collection.

What does Cannelé mean?

Cannelé is French for fluted. The name refers to the sculptural fluting beneath the halo, where the metal sweeps inwards to a fine point.

Can I buy online?

Yes. Each edition can be purchased through checkout. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for completion.
