Treowth – the first ring has landed

The first Treowth ring, the Goldwin, launched at the end of February and the response was pretty damn amazing!

There had been quite a build-up behind it. A lot of rumination, design work, Instagram reels of course - and a fair bit of wondering whether the idea would actually land once it left my head and entered the real world. Thankfully it did.

This launch also tested something new for me. Instead of simply releasing a piece at the fixed regular price, everyone had the opportunity to buy at an inaugural price. It worked incredibly well and will be a feature of the rest of the Treowth Collection and possibly beyond that.

The find that inspired Treowth

In truth, the project was also a personal experiment. Over the past couple of years my love for history and historic artefacts has, some would say, turned into an obsession. Metal detecting has certainly played a role in that. Treowth brings that world together with what I’ve done professionally for most of my life.

Ancient objects inspiring modern jewellery – that feels good just typing it out!

Seeing people respond to that combination has been hugely satisfying. It suggests that when passion sits behind something, people can feel it.

Now the question is what comes next…

I’m currently weighing up two directions. One possibility is a unisex ring, potentially even available in silver, which would bring the collection into a very different price point. The other is a necklace version of the Goldwin.

Both are tempting. Both feel right in different ways.

So watch this space.
